How Miami Hurricanes Football Can Still Make College Football Playoff After Syracuse Loss

Miami Hurricanes News: Record setters in win over Texas AM

Miami has six games remaining on its schedule, including four against currently ranked teams:

Miami needs to finish the season with a strong record and impress the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. The Hurricanes likely need to win at least three of their final four games against ranked opponents.

"We still have a lot of tough games remaining on our schedule," said head coach Manny Diaz. "Our focus now is on one game at a time, and we need to find a way to get better."

Miami's defense has been a major concern this season, allowing an average of 39 points per game. The Hurricanes must improve their pass rush and force more turnovers in order to limit points.

"Our defense needs to find its identity," said defensive coordinator Blake Baker. "We have the talent, but we need to execute more consistently."

Despite the defensive struggles, Miami's offense has been explosive, averaging over 40 points per game. Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke has thrown for 1,876 yards and 13 touchdowns this season.

"Our offense has been clicking," said Van Dyke. "We just need to continue to execute and find a way to put more points on the board."

Miami's playoff hopes are still alive, but the Hurricanes have work to do. They must finish the season strong, improve their defense, and continue to impress the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.

"We know the road ahead is tough," said Diaz. "But we believe in ourselves and we're going to fight for every win."
