Wisconsin Badgers basketball recruiting: UW adds in-state walk-on Luke

The University of Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team has continued its impressive start to the season, climbing to No. 15 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll released Monday.

The Badgers, who received 1,245 points in the poll, are now ranked among the nation's top 15 teams for the first time since the 2014-15 season.

Wisconsin's rise in the rankings has been fueled by a 10-0 start to the season, the program's best since the 2006-07 campaign. The Badgers have impressed with their balanced scoring attack and stingy defense, holding opponents to an average of 59.1 points per game.

Junior Tyler Wahl has been a breakout star for Wisconsin this season, averaging 15.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting 55.3% from the field. Wahl has been joined by a trio of talented guards in Chucky Hepburn (13.0 points per game), Connor Essegian (11.9 points per game), and Jordan Davis (10.9 points per game).

Senior forward Steven Crowl has also played a vital role, providing a strong inside presence with 10.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game.

While the Badgers have enjoyed a strong start, they will face a tougher schedule in the coming weeks. They will host No. 22 Houston on December 20 and visit No. 2 Tennessee on December 27. These games will provide key tests for the Badgers as they seek to maintain their high ranking.

The Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team has impressed with its undefeated start and climb to No. 15 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. With a talented roster and an ambitious schedule ahead, the Badgers are poised to make a strong run this season.

If they can continue to play with the same intensity and consistency, the Badgers have the potential to reach the NCAA Tournament and compete for a deep run.
